Frequently Asked Questions

What’s in a name — why “Arc”?

Arc represents the fluid, supportive curve of a healing journey — a gentle reminder that true transformation is a natural evolution rather than a rigid, straight line. As your coach, my role is to look at the complete arc of your lifestyle and body systems, connecting the dots to help you build a strong foundation for lasting health.

Why choose a health coach?

We live in an information-heavy world, and there is no shortage of wellness advice out there. Often, you might already know the basics, but the real challenge is figuring out how to integrate sustainable, meaningful change into a busy lifestyle. My role is to bridge that gap. I provide a safe, supportive space where we co-create the small, realistic steps needed to reach your health goals.

What is Naturopathic Health Coaching?

This is a holistic approach to wellness focused on natural, root-cause healing. Instead of just masking symptoms, I look at the whole picture using the 5 Pillars of Health. Together, we co-create tailored plans using whole foods and daily lifestyle practices to stimulate your body’s incredible, built-in ability to heal and thrive.

What is the difference between a Health Coach and a Naturopathic Health Coach?

I am often just called a health coach because the word “naturopathic” can be unfamiliar to people. The subtle difference lies in how deeply we dig into the why behind how you feel.

A standard health coach is wonderful for accountability, helping you set goals and stick to habits like exercising more or eating better. As a naturopathic health coach, I take that a step further. While we still focus on accountability, we look at your wellness through a clinical, root-cause lens. I don’t just look at what habits to change, but how your unique body, lifestyle, and natural environment interact as an interconnected whole. I do this by exploring the 5 Pillars of Health – Nutrition, Sleep, Movement, Stress and Lifestyle.

Who do you help? (Do any of these sound like you?)

I work with a variety of clients who are stuck and looking for change. Here are some examples you might recognise yourself in.

  • The Busy Parent: You are running on empty, navigating the non-stop demands of family life, and your own nutrition and sleep have slipped to the bottom of the priority list. You are tired, struggling with weight and running on auto-pilot.
  • The Desk Worker or Professional: You are surviving corporate pressure or academic burnout, running entirely on coffee and cortisol, and looking for a functional baseline reset. Stress is high and skin and digestion may be compromised.
  • The Stuck Improver: You think you eat well and exercise regularly, but something is still missing. You know things aren't right, there’s niggling health complaints, but you can't seem to connect the dots alone and you feel like you’ve tried everything.
  • The Longevity Seeker: You are in midlife and looking to actively future-proof your health. Struggling with changing hormones, or realised your body can no longer do what it did. Your lifestyle is fun but unhealthy and it's beginning to cause health problems.
  • The Health Navigator: You are managing a specific, long-term health condition or embarking on a brand-new wellness goal. You simply need a safe, professional space to rebuild your physical and energetic foundations.
Do you work with specific ailments, conditions, or illnesses?

I do not diagnose or treat specific illnesses; instead, I look at the root cause of your symptoms to help you restore balance and natural vitality through nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and nervous system support. It is important to always consult your GP or healthcare professional when making changes to your routines and lifestyle.

Looking through this holistic lens, and using the 5 pillars of health, I regularly support clients a range of clients. I have a special interest in fertility and hormonal health alongside midlife reset and longevity as these resonate with both my professional and personal experiences.

What happens when my body is out of balance?

Everyone’s body is unique, and we all respond differently to the stressors in our lives. For some, imbalance shows up in their skin; for others, it is their gut, digestion, or immune responses like allergies. It could also manifest as weight gain, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, high blood pressure, or autoimmune conditions. By returning the body to balance through the 5 pillars of health, you can take active steps to minimise these impacts on your everyday life and return your body to optimal health.

What happens during a discovery call?

The free, 15-minute discovery call is a relaxed opportunity to ask questions. You can share where you currently feel stuck, discuss which coaching package might suit your life best, and see how I work. Most importantly, it allows us to ensure we are a good professional fit for one another before making a commitment. Its completely free and there’s no obligation to book if you don’t feel its right for you.

Is there a set number of sessions I must commit to?

While it is important to recognise that meaningful habit change takes time and consistency, there is absolutely no pressure to commit to a locked-in number of sessions. I am completely client-led. The packages are designed to give you clear, structured choices, but bespoke paths are always available and can be happily discussed during your free discovery call.

How does the health coaching journey actually work?

Change takes consistency, which is why we break our coaching journey down into three clear, manageable phases. We work entirely at your pace to ensure your new routines feel natural, achievable, and supportive:

  1. Explore Your Foundations: We begin with an open conversation during a comprehensive 1.5-hour session to dive deep into your health and lifestyle history, mapping your current routines directly across the 5 Pillars of Health to identify your priority areas.
  2. Co-Create Your Tools: We uncover practical, evidence-based education rooted in naturopathic wellness, designing small, sustainable “mini-goals” that align perfectly with your busy schedule.
  3. Navigate with Support: We connect regularly during follow-up coaching sessions to review, adjust, and celebrate your progress, giving you the dedicated accountability and guidance you need to feel deeply empowered, vibrant, and in control.
Do I have to look at all 5 pillars of Health?

You might have an excellent gym routine but still struggle to optimise your health due to chronic stress. You may eat beautifully but run entirely on cortisol due to poor sleep. When we are stuck in our daily routines, it isn’t always obvious how these elements interlink. By taking a whole-person, 5-pillars of health approach, we join the dots together to co-create realistic, meaningful balance across your entire life. My clients take the lead and together we work through in order of what’s important to you.

Can you tell me more about your philosophy behind the 5 pillars of health?

Absolutely. These pillars do not stand in isolation; true health comes from bringing them all into balance. Here is how I view them:

Nutrition: Increase energy and vitality by learning to fuel your body with whole foods that nourish and restore.

Hippocrates was right over 2,000 years ago when he said, “Let food be thy medicine.” For many, the concept of a “diet” feels loaded, restrictive, and exhausting. I firmly believe food should be celebrated and enjoyed. I support you by sharing essential, evidence-led knowledge to help you properly fuel, nourish, hydrate, and sustain your unique body with vibrant, natural whole foods.

Sleep: Wake up refreshed and banish those energy slumps by unlocking restorative rest that genuinely repairs your body.

Sleep remains one of the most underrated and under-prioritised aspects of modern wellness. It is the absolute foundation for our body’s nightly restoration; without it, every single one of our biological systems performs sub-optimally. Working closely with you on your sleep hygiene—the habits and environments that dictate your rest—is a fundamental part of how I guide you toward optimal everyday living.

Movement: Find joy in daily physical activity that builds strength, boosts energy, and fits naturally into your routine.

How we move through daily life is just as important as how we choose to exercise. Purposeful movement fires our metabolism, strengthens our physical support systems, and naturally diffuses stress. I don’t believe you have to be gym-obsessed to be healthy (unless that is your thing!). Instead, it is about moving with intention every day. Working entirely within your own capabilities, I provide the gentle motivation and structured accountability you need to reach your weight, fitness, and functional exercise goals.

Stress: Learn to navigate daily pressures to calm your nervous system with practical management tools built for modern life.

We have all experienced it: a short, sharp burst of stress is a natural and healthy survival response (vital if a tiger is chasing you!). However, because modern stress is often constant, it can be easily dismissed. Living in a perpetual state of “fight-or-flight” compromises your digestion, blocks nutrient absorption, lowers your immune response, and floods the body with systemic inflammation. Because stress has such far-reaching consequences, I support you in prioritising stress reduction—guiding your body back into a calm, healing “rest-and-digest” mode.

Lifestyle: Create daily routines, environments, and habits that align with your long-term goals, allowing you to truly thrive.

To some, the phrase “lifestyle factors” can feel completely overwhelming; to others, it can appear inconsequential. Wherever you sit on that spectrum, examining how you live is essential for true longevity. How we live with purpose, how we interact with our surroundings, how we connect with others, and—for some—how we nurture a spiritual or soul perspective, plays a pivotal role in our wellness. I often find that it is the lifestyle elements people fail to connect to their ill health, anxiety, or persistent fatigue where we can witness the most profound, life-changing transformations.

I’ve tried everything before — will this work?

As a naturopathic health coach, I do not hand down a fixed template or a generic protocol. This is an entirely bespoke journey, based on a proven methodology that is tailored directly to your lifestyle, needs, and personal objectives. By taking a holistic approach that looks deeply at root cause and effect, we can begin to uncover and solve the imbalances holding you back.

I am currently overwhelmed and don’t have the capacity for big changes.

That is completely okay—in fact, recognising your overwhelm is the very first step toward sustainable change. Sometimes, our work is simply about sitting safely with exactly where you are. When you feel ready, we will begin looking at the specific areas you feel capable of adjusting. My coaching is entirely client-led; I work at your pace, gently supporting you through your own choices. Consistent, small steps amount to incredible transformations.
